Product Description The Slice Smart Blade Cutter features Ergo-Pull Smart-Retract technology. This retracts the blade when it loses contact with cutting surface, even if finger is still on the slider-button. Pull vs. push ergonomic slider action reduces finger strain and helps prevent injury from extra force at the end of the cutting movement. From the Manufacturer Why Ceramic Blades? Hardness & Sharpness. On the Mohs hardness scale, Metal blades are rated 5.5 vs. Ceramic blades at 8.2, second only to diamonds. Harder edges maintain sharpness longer, cut better, and require replacement far less frequently. In fact, depending on use, you can go weeks or months without having to replace a single ceramic blade. They also last up to 10x longer! Saving Money Just Makes Sense. A single Slice ceramic blade is equivalent up to 10 high-end double-sided metal blades or up to 20 high-end single sided metal blades. In terms of safety, less blade changes also mean less risk of injury. Small Ceramic Scissors Slice 10544 Ceramic Scissors bring our proprietary finger-friendly grind to safety scissors. Used in industrial, institutional, and educational settings alike, these lightweight scissors are ambidextrous and durable. Soft-touch finger grips line their tough glass-filled nylon handles for the ideal mix of strength and comfort. As with all our ceramic blades, these are non-sparking and chemically inert. Cut many types of materials. Our scissors cut materials effectively and they resist cutting skin. Some materials, such as flexible plastics and woven fabrics, require a puncturing motion to initiate cuts in the middle of the material (as opposed to cuts that originate at the edge). These pointed scissors do just that. Pointed Ceramic Scissors The Slice 10546 Ceramic Scissors (Pointed) combine the best of our original 10544 scissors—our finger-friendly safety blade and a comfort grip lining—with new features like wider finger loops for larger hands and a pointed tip. With the same durable construction that made the 10544 Slice scissors popular, the 10546 pointed scissors’ blades last up to 11 times longer than metal blades, and are non-conductive, easy to clean, and never rust. Our safety is in the blade When industrial safety managers first encounter our products, they try to compare them with existing safety knives, but Slice tools are in a class of their own. While other manufacturers redesigned their knife handles for safety, we’re the only company that redesigned the blade itself. About the Startup Describe your product in 3 words. Safe. Elegant. From the Manufacturer

Why Ceramic Blades?
