The daughter of a good friend of mine deals in vintage clothing and accessories. She came across a bag similar to this one, sent it to me and said, “Colonel, you have to make a bag like this.” So, I did. The first one out of our workshop went to my buddy, Holly, in North Carolina, to reward her keen eye for classic design. The Drifter seems to fill a niche in our line of ladies bags. Its crescent shape and slightly slouchy posture is perfect for our soft, dry-milled leather. The vintage bag was born in the 1960’s before the advent of smart phones and the like, so I updated the design with two pockets on the outside front. Strap adjusts from 21 inches to 24 inches. Pigskin lining. Nickel finish hardware. Zippered top. 9.25 inches Height. 13.5 inches at widest point. Available in Vintage Brown or Black. Made in the Col. Littleton Workshop in Lynnville, TN USA.
